Georgina & Stephen Engagement

Georgina & Stephen engagement – these two  have been together since they were young teenagers. Eventually, Stephen popped the question and, of course, the answer was yes. Georgina and Stephen got engaged during the lockdown due to Covid. True love conquers all so Covid was not going to stop them getting engaged. I met up with them yesterday evening in Derry City Centre near the Guildhall. We went for a short walk around the Walls and just had a little bit of fun with the camera. Stephen was just letting on to be shy lol. We do have an unusual shot of the lady dipping the man, that is usually in reverse. Anyone who knows Georgina will know that she works out a lot in the gym and is well able to compete with the men.

Original Aran Company Commercial

Original Aran Company Commercial

I recently got some images for the Original Aran Company. The client was looking for high quality images for a brochure but also to be able to use the images online also. This was not a problem. I have a portable studio which allows you to shoot images all year round. Our weather is not very reliable so indoors it was. We were lucky on the two days we did the photos as the weather was wet and windy. Jessica Doherty is the lady in these photos. She is excellent to work with as well as good fun.

The Original Aran Company has 35 years experience in producing high quality Aran knitwear are pleased to present their latest collection of soft merino wool and wool cashmere garments and accessories for women men and children.

Hempful Products

Hempful Products

Hempful Products is a photo shoot I did recently. Hempful are located at Campsie near Derry so it was great to help out local people with product photography. I took some samples and had some fun with different images. I went to an Grianan in Donegal for the background and also to Mussenden Temple on the North Coast for more background images.

What is CBD Oil?

CBD, or to give it its full title, Cannabidiol, is one of the most prevalent compounds found in the plant Cannabis Sativa. It is non-psychoactive, completely legal and a major health-boosting ingredient. Full spectrum CBD oil is the most effective and most beneficial.

What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

The difference between Hemp and Marijuana is night and day. The term Marijuana was used by the Federal Bureau of Narcotics in America in the 1920’s to refer to recreational Cannabis. At the time cannabis extracts were widely used in medicines and other food products, so the department criminalized cannabis by association with Reefer Groups and the term Marijuana became the street name for recreational cannabis.
Hemp on the other hand, although a Cannabis plant, never did make it as a recreational drug. It doesn’t contain the psychoactive compound, THC, which causes the high. Therefore you could smoke fields of Hemp and never get high. When Cannabis was officially banned Hemp feel under the bus with it. The understanding today is Marijuana gets you high, Hemp gets you healthy.

Claire and Seamus Wedding

Claire and Seamus Wedding

Claire and Seamus wedding took place recently at the Waterfoot Hotel in Derry. Like most weddings of 2020 it was affected by Covid therefore numbers were very limited. Only close family and friends were there to see them tie the knot. Just because the numbers were small didn’t take away from the atmosphere. The guests who were lucky enough to share Claire and Seamus big day were lively and noisy. The newly wed couple got a massive cheer when it was all sealed with a kiss. Both the bride and the groom looked gorgeous.

Gormley’s Strabane October 2020

Gormley Shoes Strabane

I went to Gormley Shoes, Strabane for a Local Women Magazine Photoshoot. It took place in October 2020 for the November magazine. I asked Yasmin to model again. We have worked together quite a lot over the last couple of years. She is very good at what she does and is always great fun. We got the hair and make up with Valerie Kennedy in Eglinton. Again, Valerie has always helped out and as always produced fantastic results. I went to Gormley’s Strabane October 2020 to get the product for the shoot. Declan who owns the shop is my brother in law so always good to see him. Gormley’s Strabane October 2020 was another great shoot. Many thanks once again to Declan, Yasmin and Valerie for helping out in this shoot.

Kaily Photo Shoot in Derry

Kaily Photo Shoot

I went along to the Waterside railway station in Derry for the Kaily Photo Shoot. We met Kaily a couple of months ago. I noticed her walking along the river Foyle in Derry.  Just had to ask to take her photo and she said yes. She is just so natural at posing and loves getting her photo taken. The first photo shoot was only a few minutes long. This time we met at the railway station. I had the platform shot in mind but we also got some images at the riverside. It was a cool evening but dry and nice. We fortunately got permission to go onto the platform where it was quiet. Then we went over the side of the river where we got some nice lights of the town in the background.

Aaron’s First Communion

Aaron’s First Communion

Aaron’s First Communion took place on 30th September 2020. A Family Communion is always a special day. Strange time for a communion due to Covid. We met at the Craft Village in Derry City Centre just after the service. The weather was good to us if only a little cool. Aaron’s first communion was a bit of craic from now on. We walked around the Craft Village where there are so many great places for photos and then went onto the Derry Walls which has many spectacular views. We used the area around the Guildhall a lot with great background views. I got the kids jumping around which helped to relax them. The kids really enjoyed it when i got their mum and dad to do the same lol.

Dobbins Family Communion

Dobbins Family Communion

The Dobbins Family Communion took place this week where  Finn was the star of the show. His father Simon was trying to be the star but just couldn’t do it this time. We met at St. Columb’s Park House early evening and the weather was just lovely – a little cool but nice. This was basically a family photo shoot. It turned out to be great fun. I know Simon and the family so the craic was good. We just went for a walk around the park. We ended up at the swings with all the kids. Some kids had to move so we could get some photos but they were ok about it. The usual parents kissing above the child photo was great fun with poor Finn cringing and his mum and dad loving it of course.

Zara & Tiernan Photoshoot

Zara & Tiernan Photoshoot

Zara & Tiernan Photoshoot was such a fun photo shoot – most of the time lol. This was a shoot that was put back due to Covid. This was supposed to happen at the end of March but just didn’t happen. Zara & Tiernan are two very special kids who are also blessed to have two special mums, Rosin & Aoife. We met at St. Columb’s Park recently and just went for a walk. To see the special bond between this family was really lovely to witness and capture. I am only showing a few images as there are so many. Zara & Tiernan Photoshoot is a shoot i will always remember. We just had a lot of fun. The two kids were just like any other kids with plenty of laughs and tears. The photos speak for themselves I think.
